A Poetic Morning Offering

Updated: Jul 19, 2020

As I get out from my bed

I offer Thee the day ahead

I look out without 'plaint or dread

None can go forth in my stead

Yoke so easy, burden light

work the fields from morn to night

Glorious Banquet always in sight

Reward for fighting the Good Fight

Come enjoy your rest my friend

This weeks labors come to'n end

Upwards all our prayers send

Debts forgive and fences mend

Send us forth into the day

Having said our simple pray'r

Mother Bless'd oh so fair

Pray thy Son be always near.
